The 8th and last season of HBO’s Game of Thrones’ series will shot multiple endings in order to avoid any potential leak, because after the bad experiences the producers have confronted with during the seventh season, they prefer to adopt every possible precautionary measures.

According to the Variety online, one of HBO’s top cyber-security experts Casey Bloys said the purpose of this new strategy is to avoid the real ending being revealed before the official release.

“The purpose is to hide the real ending from anyone”, stated Bloys during a speech at the Moravian University in Pennsylvania.

“You have to do this when it comes to such a popular show. When they are filming, people find out, so there must be multiple endings, while the final answer will be revealed at the end”, explained the expert.

This strategy of multiple endings has been adopted by other famous series such as ‘Breaking Bad’ or ‘The Sopranos’ including ‘Dallas’ in the 1980’s. In this way, not even the actors will not know which episode is the final one.

The production of the 8th Game of Thrones season will start in October and may be extended until August 2018, so the premiere could take place in 2019.

“Our production team is studying the data for the shooting and how long the special effects will take”, stated Bloys.

Game of Thrones, based on the novel by George R.R. Martin, ended its seventh season in August with an episode that mesmerized no less than 16.5 million viewers only in the US.
