The American government has denied declaring war to North Korea

The US denies having declared war to North Korea and the White House says North Korea’s statement related to Donald Trump’s most recent speech is “absurd”, writes BBC News.

After the North Korean Foreign Minister said on Monday the United States had declared war, the White House reacted and spewed that Pyongyang’s accusations are simply absurd.

Also, the pentagon spokesman has urged North Korean to stop with the threats.

On Monday, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the US “has not declared war to North Korea and, frankly, the suggestion is absurd.”

Pentagon spokesman Robert Manning reacted by saying, “If North Korea does not stop with these provocative actions, we will ensure that we will provide the president with options to deal with North Korea.”

The White House’s reaction comes after North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho told reporters that “the whole world should clearly remember that the US was first to declare our country war.”

Two days ago, US planes flew close to the North Korean coast in a show of force.

On Monday, when he left New York after the UN General Assembly, Ri said his country reserves the right to shoot towards the American airplanes even if they are not in the North Korean airspace.
