Since the emergence of the first Android smartphones, Samsung set the tone in terms of sales, but at the end of this year, the situation has changed.

In the last two years, numerous Chinese phone makers have managed to generate waves in every corner of the globe.

This performance was obtained with the help of hi-tech smartphones at more affordable prices. Subsequently, there were models with an innovative design that managed to compete directly with products from Samsung or Apple.

Huawei is the most eloquent example. The efforts made by the technology giant Samsung dethroned the South-Korean producer, managing to become the most appreciated Android smartphone in the world.

When it comes to production and marketing of Android phones, Huawei generated a bigger profit, in comparison to Samsung.

This information was confirmed by an independent study conducted by Strategy Analytics. This is the same company which, a while ago, drew attention on the fact that most profits reported by the smartphone market went to Apple.

In the top five, when referring to profits from the smartphone industry, Vivo and Oppo reported encouraging numbers in the last quarter.

This analysis included the profits of companies listed in the third fiscal quarter of 2016 before paying their taxes.

In these circumstances, Huawei has achieved a net profit of $200 million, 2.4% of the global market for smartphones.

As described in the report, the dethroning of Samsung by Huawei occurred because the Chinese market has an effective system of suppliers, appealing products and effective marketing campaigns.
