Andrea Bocelli will appear in his autobiographical movie entitled ‘The Music Of Silence’, that was based on the tenor’s memories.

The role of his alter-ego, named Amos Bardi, will be played by Toby Sebastian. This is the sad story of a musician that went blind at 12 years old, who read the musical notes in Braille.

The musician filmed some sequences of the movie, interpreting Pucini’s ‘Nessun Dorma’, on the studio’s stage Cinecitta in Rome, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But Andrea Bocelli will only have a brief appearance in the movie.

Antonio Banderas will play the master singer. Luisa Ranieri and Jordi Molla will play the roles of the mother and the father of the musician.

The biography tells the story of Bocelli’s life. The Italian baby born with a severe form of glaucoma, has totally gone blind at the age of twelve, after an accident that occurred while playing football.

However, Bocelli tried hard to pursue his passion for music. He used to read the musical notes in Braille. He enrolled in law school, but also followed his dream, signing up for numerous talent shows.

The film will portray the moment when he was discovered by Luciano Pavarotti the moment he heard Bocelli singing ‘Miserere’ by Gregorio Allegri.

Andrea Bocelli is an Italian pop opera tenor and opera singer. He recorded thirteen studio albums, both classical and pop music, two compilations of the best songs and eight opera albums (La bohème, Il Trovatore, Werther, Pagliacci, Cavalleria rusticana, Carmen, Tosca, Andrea Chénier, Roméo et Juliette, Manon Lescaut and Turandot), all of which were sold in over 75 million copies worldwide.
