Announced as a ‘world premiere’, the new legislative project will soon reach the Parliament and its main purpose is to stop the psychopaths who were convicted from leaving the Australian territory.

“The new law will forbid convicted pedophiles from leaving Australia or obtaining an Australian passport.

Only last year, nearly 800 registered pedophiles fled from Australia”, stated Australian Minister of External Affairs Julie Bishop.

Most of them traveled in Asia, ignoring their obligation of reporting their plans to leave the country to the authorities, added the MP stating that half of them were at risk of relapse.

A series of cases that involve pedophilia have recently attracted the attention in Australia, especially the one from October in Bali, when Robert Andrew Fiddes Ellis was sentenced to 15 years of prison.

The man is 70-years-old and he was found guilty for the accusation of sexually assaulting 11-year-old girls and teenagers.

“No country has taken such strong measure to prevent this. Pedophiles who travel abroad, often in exposed countries, to violate children. It’s a world premiere”, said Australian Minister of Justice Michael Keenan.

The measure will lead to the cancellation of 20.000 passports belonging to individuals who have served their sentence for pedophilia but are still in the forefront of some judicial services.

Senator Derry Hinch, one of the most devoted and known personalities in the fight against pedophilia, said he was beyond happy.

‘Some are questioning civil rights (private passports). Well, from my point of view, if you violate a child, you lose your civil rights’, revealed the politician.
