The images with a newborn who managed to make a few steps right after he was welcomed on this world became viral on social media.

The clip gathered no less than 72 million views, writes independent.co.uk.

Initially, the clip was uploaded on Facebook, gathering 72 million views, over 1.6 million shares and 339,000 comments.

However, most people questioned its authenticity.

According to the British paper, the child was born in Brazil and, at one point, the nurse screams out loud: “God, the girl is walking. Oh my God!”, while another person in the room says: “Wait, let me film.”

The midwife explained that she was just trying to wash the newborn, but the baby was constantly trying to get up and leave.

It is not known who the girl’s parents are or the hospital where was born.

However, considering the nurse’s uniform, the logo belongs to the Santa Cruz Hospital from Rio Grande do Sul.

Normally, babies make their first steps starting with the age of 1 and definitely not before they sit or hold their heads.

Brazilian newborn may have had what doctors call a primitive reflex that occurs at birth: even if they cannot support their body weight, if they are held, when they touch a surface with their feet, they will try to put one foot in front of the other.
