Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, held a moment of silence yesterday on the stairs of Buckingham Palace during a posh garden party

The royal pair decided to take the minute of silence in the middle of their annual garden party hosted at their royal residence in London.

Although many believed it’s inappropriate to host social events in such moments, the Queen’s outfit was in the usual note: a very vivid color.

Canary Yellow, to be more precise

A cheerful color for a time in which we should commemorate those 22 youngsters who lost lives in Manchester, some might say.

At one point, the national anthem was playing in the background.

However, instead of singing, the guests preferred to keep the moment of silence.

According to the British press, the party organized at the Royal gardens was attended, as usual, by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.

Princess Eugenie of York was also spotted and, according to some guests, the decision to move forward with the party was British monarchy’s way to show everyone they will never capitulate in front of terrorists.

A tribute to regretted actor Roger Moore, who died yesterday, was also present at the event: a local artist performed a song from James Bond’s soundtrack.
