US President Donald Trump was greeted on Wednesday morning by Pope Francis

The American president reached the third stage of his tour which included with Saudi Arabia, Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

Donald Trump will continue his journey with Brussels, where he will attend the NATO summit and Sicily, for the G7 summit in Taormina.

The Presidential Air Force One landed Tuesday at 18.26 at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, where major security measures were taken.

After the meeting with Pope Francis in Vatican, the American presidential couple will have the privilege to visit the Sistine Chapel and the famous Basilica, the masterpiece create by Michelangelo and Bernini.

Later, Donald Trump is set to meet with President and Head of Italian Government at Quirinale Palace, while his wife, Melania, will pay a visit to children centrum from Bambino Gesu Hospital.

First Daughter Ivanka and the president’s counselor, Jared Kushner, will visit the Catholic community of Sant ‘Egidio, located in central Rome, to discuss about the fight against migrant trafficking.

Air Force One will take off on Wednesday afternoon and it will head to Brussels, where the US president is scheduled to meet with the Belgian king, the prime minister, a group of European officials and his NATO counterparts.

On Friday and Saturday, Donald Trump will return in Italy to attend the G7 summit from Taormina, Sicily.
