The man who, allegedly, committed the suicide attack from Manchester would be a Libyan youngster born in the UK.

He was identified by the police as 22-year-old Salman Ramadan Abedi who died at Manchester Arena on Monday night during the explosion.

The press reports that he was born in Manchester, northwest England and his parents are Libyan who fled the country ruled by the dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

Meanwhile, ISIS claimed the attack announcing that ‘one of the caliphate soldiers has placed a bomb in the crowd’.

The British police have announced they are trying to determine whether Abedi acted by himself or he was part of a more complex organization.

According to NBC News, Abedi would have had links with Al Qaida and he was trained by terrorists from abroad, a security official revealed.

He also said that Salman Abedi was identified after a banking card placed in his pocket and his identity was confirmed by a facial recognition system.

Abedi traveled to Libya in the past 12 months, but he also visited other states.

According to the official quoted by NBC News, Abedi had “obvious ties” with Al Qaida, but it is not out of the question that he might have been in contact with other terrorist groups as well.

Abedi’s family currently lives in the Fallowfield area in southern Manchester, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Armed officers searched the modest area on Tuesday and they had to carry out a controlled explosion to get inside.
