An ISIS-affiliated terrorist group has conquered a major city on one of the islands of the Philippines

The locals revealed that massive groups of masked and armed men traveled to Marawi during the night while carrying ISIS flags, announcing the city is now the territory of the Islamic State.

The black ISIS flags with the message ‘There is no other god than God’ were fluttered throughout the city and many of the locals fled to establishments for nearby.

Marawi resident Chico Usman told CNN that when terrorists entered the city, the people became terrified and rushed to leave the town.

The photos taken by some journalists show impressive columns of cars filled with women and children who were leaving the city because they were scared of what might happen to them.

Rodrigo Duterte and his administration designated an impressive group of militants into the region and after numerous clashes between the army and the ISIS soldiers, around 100 have died.

Unfortunately, most of the victims were civilians caught in the middle of the civil war.

Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country, but in the island of Mindanao, where Marawi is located, most residents are Muslim.

Filipino president, Rodrigo Duterte, managed to cross another line when it comes to unappropriate declarations

During a speech held in April, Tagalog President Rodrigo Duterte threatened that he can be ’50 times worse’ than any other Islamic militant who decapitates civilians.

The president didn’t stop there. He also specified that he will ‘eat these militants alive’ if they will become captured by his troops.

Rodrigo Duterte ordered his troops to kill a group of terrorists who planned to attack the province of Bojol.
