The two mother and daughter duo passed away this December. They were both buried together, but the family also wants the fans to say good bye properly.

The public service will take place on March 25, at 1:00 PM. The Freedom Theater from the Forest Lawn Cemetery Hollywood Hill will host the ceremony.

Todd Fisher, Carrie’s brother revealed the date in a statement he posted on his website.

“We will be celebrating their lives with friends, family members, and the people who loved them, you. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and immediately afterwards, those who want to talk to their final resting place are welcome to do so,” wrote Todd.

As the number of seats is limited, the ones who do not catch a seat can stay in the lobby or outside. A TV screen will be placed outside so everyone can see the ceremony.

Carrie Fisher died on December 27, after suffering a major stroke. Her mother, with whom she has been very close, passed away a day later. She couldn’t accept the fact that she lost her child.

Fisher was cremated and her ashes were placed in an urn shaped like a Prozac pill. In spite of this, some of her ashes were placed in a coffin so she can rest by her mother’s side. Reynolds wanted to be buried.

The service took place on January 6. Family and friends were there to say good bye to the beloved artists. Meryl Streep was there, after the funeral she said a few words in the memory of her close friend.

The public service will probably have many people in attendance. The both actresses were deeply admired.
