Iranian actress to boycott Oscars as result of Trump"s immigration acts

Taraneh Alidoosti, who is nominated for an Academy Award, swore to boycott the event as Donald Trump bans visas for Iranians.


The president was invested only last week and already started to take measures against the immigrants. Not only that he urges the border wall over Mexico to be built faster, but also bans certain people from the US.


Alidoosti is not happy about his actions. She expressed her attitude towards this in a post on Twitter.


“Trump’s visa ban for Iranians is racist. Whether this will include a cultural event or not , I won’t attend the Academy Awards 2017 in protest,” wrote the actress.


The 33-year-old Iranian stars in “The Salesman” and is nominated for it in Best Foreign Language Movie category.


The director of “The salesman” won an Oscar before, in 2012 for “A Separation.”


This week Trump let know that he will ban some immigrants soon.


This immigrants are coming from states like: Iran, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and a few others.


When the president asked if this ban is only for Muslims, he pointed out that it is only for the countries where terrorism is common.


He added that the people that come from this states will definitely cause problems for the United States.


America already has many issues about people who come and create problems, thinks Trump.


Trump sat with ABC News and delivered his first interview as president for a television.


The Iranian actress is not the only one disturbed by the president’s actions. Celebrities and citizens altogether backfired at Trump’s racist actions.
