See what happens with a dead body in the outer space

Even since the beginning of humans traveling to space, 18 people were killed.

The number is relatively small compared to the attempts of mankind of conquering the space,  without having any clue of what will happen once they’re trapped in the void.

In the case of a major accident, the entire crew would die, but what happens when just a crew member dies?

Together with the mission to colonize Mars, people take into consideration the possibility of the death of some crew members in the moment of contact with the harsh conditions on the Red Planet.

NASA journey to Mars will take place by the end of 204. The journey will be taking place within three years. This period of time is enough to arouse the problem of the death of a crew member.

The most important aspect of this interstellar trip would be what happens if somebody dies while on the mission. What will happen to the corpse if the crew still has two more years until returning to Earth?

Currently, the people who are traveling to the International Space Station are in a perfect health condition, therefore, death could occur solely as a result of an accident.

An astronaut suit could resist the damage in space for about 15 seconds, before losing his consciousness.

Before the freeze, the astronaut will probably die of suffocation.

After 10 seconds of exposure to the vacuum space, the blood and the water in the body would vaporize. The breathing process would stop in less than 30 seconds and the body will remain paralyzed.

Apparently, the most suitable method to avoid the bad smell and the spread of bacteria aboard the rocket, would be the cryogenically frozen process.

On Earth, this could happen by using azote, but in space, the body should be held outside the ship until it becomes brittle and is turned into small pieces so it can be stored aboard for many years.
