Major investments in the most precious spice in the world

Iran is the largest producer of saffron in the world.

The bank is the Iranian government’s property and was settled in the city of Torbat Heydariyeh.

The institution is equipped with futurist systems of conservation, for different types of saffron require extremely precise and different methods of keeping them in store.

One such storing system can hold up to 10 tons of ‘red gold’.

According to the Iranian government, the capacity of the saffron bank may soon reach 20 tons.

So, the farmers who will deposit their ‘red gold’ in the bank will receive bank titles in which there will be specified the quantity, type and value of the spice.

According to bank’s representatives, the titles could be sold and when the owner would want, he will be able to request the bank to give him his products back.

Therefore, concerning some security reasons, the exact place where the saffron will be preserved will be kept secret.

Saffron is the most expensive spice at a global level.

It is highly used in the most exclusivist restaurants in the world.

Its price could reach $ 70 per gram. Saffron is highly priced than the most expensive metal in the world, that is, of course, gold.
