Emma Stone was completely stunned by her win at last night’s Sag Awards. She won the awards for Outstanding Performance in Leading Role.

The “La La Land” actress was brought to tears by the unexpected honor.

The 28-year-old delivered a heartfelt speech. She started by referring to the current situation the United States is confronting right now.

She, amongst other celebrities attending the event, voiced their disapproval of the immigration ban.

Stone reassured that she is amongst the ones who “cares and wants to reflect things back to society.”

She revealed that she is touched to win when so many wonderful actors were sharing the category.

In the same category, the others nominated were: Meryl Streep for “Florence Foster Jenkins”, Natalie Portman for “Jackie”, Amy Adams for “Arrival” and Emily Blunt for “The Girl on the Train.”

She was so nervous, that’s she dished she was “going to faint.”

Stone didn’t forget to thank her co-star, Ryan Gosling, who’s “the best”. She thanked the director, Damien Chazelle as well.

The movie wasn’t nominated for Best Picture, but Stone leaving with the prize is good enough.

This beginning of the year has been great for the actress. She won a Golden Globe and she is nominated for an Academy Award.

“La La Land” has a crazy success. At the Golden Globes, it broke records with its seven wins. At the Oscars, the movie is nominated for fourteen awards.

The Oscars will take place on February 26. It announces as a big night for the film and its stars.
