The British actress was about to star in the hit-musical, but according to rumors, what stopped her was her demands.

Ryan Gosling was also not an option, with Miles Teller being the lead.

Unfortunately for Watson and Teller, their high demands stopped them from starring.

At first, it was thought that the 26-year-old actress refused because of the upcoming movie, “Beauty and the Beast.”

While for Teller, various reports said that he and the director, Damien Chazelle, didn’t get along. He also asked for a high price, with $4 million more than he was offered. Other rumors also claim he asked not 4, but $6 million more.

“Watson was offered the lead female role, but she initially wouldn’t commit. Then she began making all these crazy demands, like rehearsals for the film must be done in London,” said an insider.

The staff also tried their best to satisfy her wishes, but after all, it was too much.

Emma Stone came and she was perfect for the role. She and Ryan Gosling are friends and have worked together before. Their chemistry really helped the movie.

The film has an amazing success, with several records being made. It is nominated for fourteen Academy Awards and with great chances of winning.

Earlier this month, at the Golden Globes, they won every possible award. They established a new record with seven wins.
