Viola Davis and Julia Roberts will star in a drama about white supremacists

The worldwide known Hollywood actresses, Viola Davis and Julia Roberts, will star together in a drama about the white supremacists.


The information has been forwarded by the British newspaper The Guardian.


According to the website Deadline.com, the two actresses, who had previously starred together in ‘Eat Pray Love’, will be the leading figures in a new movie.


The film is an adaptation of the novel ‘Great Small Things’, written by Jodi Picoult.


The movie will be produced by Marc Platt, whose latest film – “La La Land” – is considered to be the favorite in the Oscar race for Best Movie.


Davis, a favorite to win the Oscar for best-supporting actress for her role in ‘Fences’, will play a nurse who is forbidden to touch the newborn a white couple.


When the child dies, the nurse is sued and accused of murder.


The script is loosely based on a true story. At the moment, it is unclear what role will Julia Roberts will play, but she probably interprets the defense attorney.


Another Picoult’s adapting novel, “My Sister’s Keeper” had Cameron Diaz starring as a leading actress.


Davis was recently rewarded as she received a Golden Globe Award for her role in “Fences”. Also, she currently appears in the third season of the thriller series of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder”.


In her last movie, Julia Roberts starred together with George Clooney in “Money Monster” and Garry Marshall’s comedy “Mother’s Day”.


This year, she will voice of a character in “Smurfs: The Lost Village” and will appear next to Jacob Tremblay in “Wonder”.
