On Sunday, London managed to obtain a derogation from the newest restrictive measures regarding entering in the US.

The exception from Donald Trump’s order will apply to the British people having a double nationality and for the naturalized ones.

This came after Trump’s executive order of banning almost all the Muslim citizens from seven countries to come in the US.

The British Foreign Minister, Boris Johnson, has managed to obtain this derogation during his several talks with the US government, as the ministry informed.

The passengers having both British citizenship and one of the seven covered by the prohibition to enter the US, who are heading to the US coming from another country and not the banned ones, will not be affected by Trump’s enforcement law.

The only Britons owning a double nationality that are likely to be subjected to additional verifying processes are the ones coming from one of the seven countries. For example, a Lebanese-British heading to the US from Libya.

Finally, the authorities ensured that all the British citizens who were born in one of those countries will be able to enter the US even if they departed from Irak or Iran, for example.

The decree promoted by the American president has caused major criticism and worldwide protests.

In Great Britain, the Prime Minister, Theresa May, has denounced the law, after she initially refused to do it.

The anti-immigration law ordered by Trump was partially blocked by several human rights associations and by protesters who assaulted some of the largest international airports.
