The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, had the first official meeting with Donald Trump. The two discussed and took decisions that will influence the both states.

The White House hosted the press conference.

The US President dished on the importance of a free and independent Britain. He is invited by Queen Elizabeth for a meeting soon.

While Trump will support Britain, he will also remain committed to NATO as May announced he would.

The president added that meeting May was an honor.

The two posed next to the Winston Churchill sculpture. After Trump brought it back in the Oval Office, the Prime Minister was happy about the gesture. As Trump was praising the honor of having Churchill back, May responded with: “Well, thank you, Mister president.”

This weekend, Trump will have two more important discussions, but over the phone. He will discuss with French president, Francois Hollande and with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Soon enough, he will also talk with Vladimir Putin, with whom Trump wants to establish a close relationship.

While Trump prepares for the conversation with Putin, May wants him to be close to the Western art of Europe. She also urges him to be close to NATO, while towards Russia, he should more careful.

Before she visited the White House, Theresa May went to the commemoration at the Arlington National Cemetery.

As she met the president, May sported a red ensemble.

‘We had an excellent, wide-ranging discussion about strengthening the special relationship between our nations,’ declared Sean Spicer.
