Manchester United is going to lack one of its best players for about nine games after Juan Mata had to undergo surgery.
Two days ago, Juan underwent the surgery for hernia. This will keep him away from the field for several weeks. This is a huge blow for the club, which has some very important games ahead.
Manchester United will have in the upcoming week three important games for the Premier League. There is also a chance that the club will lose the chance of playing in the Europa League against Anderlecht.
At the beginning of the next week, Juan is going to go through some more procedures. He expects to be back in the game in a couple of months. He hopes to catch at least the games from the end of the season.
As his surgery has been a success and he is recovering fine, we might see him on the field this season.
Right now, Manchester United needs all the support it can get. It already has some problems with its players, so Juan’s injury was the last thing they needed.
Their main star this season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is going to miss a few games after being suspended. His presence is already missed on the field. Ander Herrera is also suspended.
Other players are injured: Paul Pogba and Wayne Roonie.
In spite of these problems, Jose Mourinho is confident that everything is going to be fine. Zlatan and Ander will return soon and so will Pogba, who is almost recovered. All that he expects from his players now is for them to give everything on the field, be professional and work for getting in the leagues.
