Tom Cruise lost his mother

Tom Cruise is not doing through a good period right now. The actor lost his mother, aged 80.

According to reports, Marie Lee South passed away in her sleep.

She was battling an illness for a few years now.

The actor cared about his mother deeply, she was the one that encouraged his acting career. Marie was a teacher and kept on inspiring her son.

The late mother died last week. A funeral was already held. Tom and his three sisters were there to say their farewells. Relatives and friends were also there.

The service was a private one. It took place at the Church of Scientology in the area where she lived.

Cruise has three siblings: Lee Ann, aged 57, 55-year-old Cass and Marian, aged 52.

Marie was born in Kentucky. Her husband and Tom’s father was an electrical engineer. The two divorced eventually. The actor revealed his father was a bully.

In an interview given years ago, Marie said that she did have a passion for theatre, but never got involved in it.  She passed her passion to her son.

When he was young, Tom took part in a group of theater. Marie was always in the audience to support him.

In his teenage years, Tom was more into sports, but he found his way back to acting and now has this huge career.

After the divorce, the family had various problems, but Marie took care of everything. She and Tom were really close and the son helped bring money into the house.

When he decided to move to New York, his mom supported him. There, he pursued his acting career.

After he made it into the field, he continued his close relationship with his mother.

Her death mustn’t be too easy on him. Prayers are going to him and his family in this tough times.
