Louvre Museum, the target of a terrorist attack

French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve claims the ‘attack is terrorist’.

Meanwhile, the Paris chief officer Michael Cadot declares the ‘attacker rushed to the soldier with the machete’ while threatening and screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’.

As reported by The Guardian, the attacker possessed a machete and he was shot five times after he wounded the soldier.

The police surrounded the entire area

‘Severe incident of national security unfolding in Paris at Louvre, the security and emergency forces have priority’, transmits the Minister of Internal Affair on Twitter.

The information is unclear. Some sources say the soldier opened fire after he was held at knifepoint by the attacker.

Meanwhile, other sources say the attacker had a suspicious suitcase.

According to BBC, the man was shot in front of the museum and the metro stations from the area were closed.

An elaborate security operation is unfolding in Paris

Apparently, the scene took place at the Carousel du Louvre, which is an underground shopping section of the museum and one of the largest in the world.

All 250 visitors were evacuated and during the attack, they were urged to lay on the floor.

The attacker is severely wounded.

Although the attacker acted on his own, a second man was detained by the police due to his suspicious behavior.

The team of engineers who analyzed the backpack of the aggressor didn’t find any traces of explosives.

Apparently, the attacked soldier was monitoring the zone with other two colleagues.

The entire museum was shot down.
