Selena Gomez opens up about her struggles

The artist did a panel on Wednesday for her latest show, “13 Things Why”. She is the producer of the show that will premiere on Netflix.
During the interview, Selena opened up about going thorough rehab and her struggles as a teen.
As her show is based on a novel about a girl committing suicide, Gomez felt like she needed to tell her own story.
She recalls the time when the production started. She felt really bad then, she had to hear a lot of teenagers talking about problems like this.
Her time in high school wasn’t too easy as well. This show made her remember her time in school and experience that feeling all over again.
As a child, growing up in Hollywood isn’t easy. During her teenage years, she worked for Disney. Gomez said that she felt very insecure, she was always being told how to act or how to be. That really affected her as a person.
Now, she is much grown up and knows what she wants. She wants to be a model for her young fans and tell her story. Selena learned from her mistakes and is trying to be strong.
The show has become a part of her, it made her go through a lot of emotions and means a lot.
“13 Things Why” will be released on March 31.
The 24-year-old feels great in the position of producer and enjoys the experience. Her mother helped with it.
Last year, the singer revealed she is battling lupus and had to spend a while out of the spotlight. She went to rehab several times, but she is not afraid to admit it.
Now, she is doing much better and can’t wait to share with the world this new exciting show.
