Russia revealed they have killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the information related to the death of the world’s most wanted terrorist is still under review.

The Russian Air Force raid took place on May 28 in a hidden spot where ISIS leaders gathered to discuss exit routes from the Syrian city, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“According to information that is now verified by various channels, the leader of the Islamic state of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was killed in the attack, was present at that meeting,” the ministry said, according to RIA Novosti.

The ministry says 30 commanders and up to 300 combatants attended the Rakka meeting

The news regarding Bakr’s death surfaced a few days ago in Syria.

However, this is not the first time when the ISIS leader has been reported as dead.

This time, considering the announcement was made by the Russian Defense Ministry the hypothesis is more credible.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is considered to be the most dangerous and wanted terrorist with a reward of 25 million dollars on his head.

The terrorist group has suffered significant land losses and was targeted both by Russian and American bombings.

In March, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced that “almost all” of Baghdadi lieutenants were killed.

“It is only a matter of time for al-Baghdadi to have the same faith”, added Tillerson at that time.
