Nicolas Maduro is determined to not bow in front of his country that has been struggling for more than three months with the catastrophic collapse of the economic system.

As the number of deaths continues to rise on the streets of Caracas, Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro threatens to unleash a ruthless army of supporters if the protestants attempt to overthrow the government, writes The Guardian.

“If Venezuela is thrown into chaos and violence, and the Bolivian Revolution will be destroyed, we will fight.

We will never give up and what we have not been able to obtain with votes we will obtain with weapons.

We will release our homeland with weapons”, stated Maduro during a live broadcast.

The controversial statements are a result of the theft campaign reported in several liquor stores and supermarkets in the last weeks.

Meanwhile, a police helicopter threw grenades over the Supreme Court building, a gesture labeled by President Nicolas Maduro as a “terrorist attack”.

The Supreme Court has played a crucial role in the current political crisis by making decisions in favor of expanding the powers of the president and limiting the opposition-controlled legislature.
