A Spanish woman who was born in 1956, claims her mother, a maid known as Antonia, had an affair with Salvador Dalí in the 1950’s, during the artist’s marriage with his muse, Gala Dalí.

He died in Spain in 1989 at the age of 85.

The woman, whose ‘profession’ is fortune-telling is struggling for more than a decade to be legally recognized as the painter’s daughter.

A court from Spain stated there are no biological tools or personal objects that once belonged to the artist that can be used in a DNA test.

So, the Madrid Court believes ‘samples must be collected from Dali’s body as there are no other biological or personal remains to make the comparison.’

The decision to exhume the painter’s remains 30 years after his death for a paternity test is crazy but for ‘some reason’, the Spanish court decided to fulfill the fortune teller’s request.

“We have the opportunity to appeal”, declared a member of the Salvador Dali Foundation, headquartered in the museum with the same name from Figueras.

The surrealist painter was buried in the theater and museum that he had designed in his hometown.

Famous for his original and extravagant art, Dali left behind an impressive fortune, thousands of paintings and art objects.
