A political newspaper controlled by Kim Jong-un wrote that Donald Trump is a psychopath, invoking the statements made by the American president after the death of student Otto Warmbier, writes AFP.

The North Korean newspaper Rodong Sinmum is affiliated with the North Korean government.

On Thursday, the journalists from the peninsula described the US president Donald Trump as a “psychopath” in an article related to the tensioned relationship triggered by the death of Otto Warmbier.

The article mentioned that Trump feels comfortable about the “difficult situation” because he was expecting for a reason to attack North Korea, diverting the attention from the domestic political crisis.

“South Korea must realize that pursuing this Trump psycho can only lead to disaster”, wrote the daily in the controversial editorial.

Donald Trump condemned the ‘brutality of the North Korean regime’ after the death of American student Otto Warmbier.

The young man was released from a North Korean prison and sent home a week ago.

Otto was in a coma and died five days after he was sent home in Cincinnati.

“Many terrible things have happened, but at least we brought him home to be with his parents,” the US president said immediately after the sad news was announced by Otto’s parents.
