On Monday afternoon, the people from Singapore experienced a never-seen-before phenomenon on the sky. The islanders watched for about fifteen minutes the breathtaking phenomenon.

A cloud was joined by a glow with multiple colors. It looked a lot like a rainbow, only that it was shaped like a big circle.

This phenomenon is known as a “fire rainbow”. It occurs when the light from the sun is covered by a cloud of ice crystals. The result is amazing and unique.

While some believe it was a fire rainbow, others call this phenomenon cloud iridescence. This one occurs when drops of water or ice spread the light.

Others call this a paddle-pop rainbow.

A citizen captured the moment. She said that the phenomenon started smaller and was in a shade of orange. Then, it began to spread and as it became bigger, the diverse color began to show. After it was seen for about fifteen minutes, it started to slowly fade out.

The villager also said that people were amazed by it. Children and adults altogether went outside to see it. It is something that they have never seen before.

Of course, the pictures made it to the internet and social media. Many were charmed by it and shared the unique photographs. Others thought it looked weird as they have never seen anything like it.

This event will be cherished as it rarely occurs. These people were lucky to experience it.
