The officers in charge with a corruption case in South Korea required on Tuesday a new arresting order for Jay Y.Lee – the successor of the Samsung empire.
The son of the current CEO and the nephew of the founder was questioned in numerous times regarding a business that led to the South Korean’s state leader destitution.
According to the international press, the diplomats accuse the heir of offering 35 million euros to an association and a group of foundations owned by Choi Soon-soil – an old friend of the former state leader.
The plan was to obtain the country’s support regarding the merger of two Samsung plants.
However, in January, a solicitude regarding Lee’s sentence was rejected by a court from Seoul because the evidence were not sufficient to support the case.
The judges claim that in the last two weeks they discovered new proofs in this case.
Lee Jae-Yon is, in fact, the Samsung leader, after he cardiac arrest suffered by his father in 2014.
If Lee becomes arrested, this will represent a low blow for Samsung, the global leader in the electronic market, mostly because it will interfere with some powerful investment and acquisition projects.
In addition, this new scandal comes shortly after Samsung made that massive withdrawn.
