Mike Pence attends Super Bowl in company of service members

The Vice President and his wife attended the 2017 Super Bowl on Sunday. The two didn’t go by themselves, but had company.

He is the fourth vice president in charge that attends the big NFL final.

Before he arrived in Houston, Pence visited the Andrews Air Force Base. As he met with some service members, he offered to take them to the game.

Anthony Mannino and Frederick Manning were both injured in missions. The two, joined by two guests, embarked on the flight to the Super Bowl with Mike Pence.

As they traveled to the game, the vice president posted a picture on Twitter. He did not reveal the name of the team he rooted for.

Pence has a strong admiration for the military. His father is a veteran of the Army, while his son is part of the Marine Corps. Anytime he gets the chance, he honors the members of the service.

He is very proud of his son, who joined the military in 2015.

When he was the governor of Indiana, he welcomed the militaries that returned home.

Last year, on the Pearl Harbor Day, he attended a memorial held in the name of the World War II soldiers. He was joined by John McCain.

When he took the two service members with him to the game, Pence revealed he wanted to show how grateful him and the country are. Being with them is an honor.

The two members revealed they could not believe it was happening. They were really excited.
