The University of Montreal released a study that says that shoveling snow might be dangerous.

The study was published on Monday.

After a storm that took place in Canada, researchers found out that the numbers of deaths created by heart attacks increased.

A scientist that took part of the test says that they believe shoveling snow was the main reason. Heart attacks and shoveling snow are linked.

Men are the ones that go through this, as they usually do this activity more. This activity is really demanding, which raises the heart rate.

If the person already suffers from heart-related issues or if the activity takes too long, it can become a danger.

From 1981 to 2014, there were about 128K heart attacks. The researchers studied these cases. From the total, 68k of them brought death.

The risk of getting a heart attack increases after a day of shoveling snow.

If the snow is in a much greater quantity, then the danger increases.

This activity endangers the heart and is not very easy. A doctor from the team says that exhaling through the nose can cause a problem.

The doctors advise to not shovel snow after smoking or eating. Before starting this activity, you should stretch. Also, take it slow.

Try not to lift as much. Instead, push the snow. If you do lift, use your legs more and fill only a smaller part of the shovel. Take breaks so you don’t reach exhaustion.

If you had any problems with the your heart before, don’t even think about doing it.
