Gigi Hadid received a lot of negative backlash after posting a video of her mocking Asians. Her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, stepped in and took her defense.

Gigi and sister, Bella, posted a video on Snapchat. The video has been erased since then, but fans took hold of it and share it on twitter.

In the video, the 21-year-old model holds a cookie shaped like a Buddha next to her face. All she does is squint her eyes and laugh with her sibling.

People were enraged immediately and blasted her for being racist. They also pointed out to her boyfriend, who is half Asian.

Zayn delivered a comeback and successfully defended his girl.

One fan asked him on Twitter about how he feels about Gigi pointing fun at Asians. All he said was that she likes Asian and added a winky face emoji and a thumbs up.

The model did not want to appear racist or offend anyone, she was just having fun with her sister.
