Starting a few weeks ago, several online rumors related with reinventing WhatsApp have sparked our curiosity.

They have been already implemented.

The new function is very close to a number of elements that Snapchat users have been accustomed to for some years already.

The new WhatsApp Status can be associated with your profile.

All you have to do is take a shot in real time and you’ll have the opportunity to upload it to your status.

Subsequently, all the photos can be customized with texts, drawings and emoticons.

From the moment you decided that your picture `deserves` to go online, all you have to do is save it. Afterward, it will automatically appear in the Status tab of the application.

Like Messenger, any status will only be visible for a period of 24 hours.

After that time, it will disappear forever. The stats on WhatsApp can be used to initiate conversations directly from that window.

Concerning the security issues, all the statuses on WhatsApp are protected through encryption.

So, they can only be seen by an audience that you have previously defined in the configuration window of the program.
