Yekutiel Sherman, an entrepreneur in Israel, spent an entire year to create a product worthy of being listed on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform and to raise funds for the production process.

The product is a smartphone case, which incorporates a selfie stick. The Israeli entrepreneur raised money from his family members and even filmed a professional commercial in order to promote his product.

The commercial was filmed in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and it showed full instructions on how to  achieve the perfect selfie using the device created by him.

Sherman hopes to raise $40,000 for a serial production of the smartphone case, which according to him, will become an instant success.

Unfortunately, a week after he listed the product on Kickstarter the businessman was surprised to discover identical products on AliExpress.

The same exact case was on sale on the website owned by Alibaba, at a much lower price. If the original device created by Sherman cost around $47 , the product sold by AliExpress was $10.

According to the Israeli producer, a group of Chinese manufacturers stolen his idea and even the name of the phone case created by him and they are selling it at a much lower price.

These fake products ruined his business and inevitably, the users asked him why he asks so much money for the Stikbox Self Stick if they can buy the product from the AliExpress for less.

Sherman tried to contact the Chinese producers who stole his idea and threaten to sue them. As expected, they ignored him.

After all, Sherman managed to raise 43,000 dollars on Kickstarter.
