Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was evacuated from the forum due to a fire. The not-so-pleasant incident occurred at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, located near Moscow, according to RT.com.

The Russian Prime Minister and the rest of the people from the forum were forced to evacuate the building after the emergency alarm was triggered because of the smoke detected in the building.

The fire started on the second floor of the building and quickly extinguished, according to the agency TASS. According to preliminary investigations, the fire was caused by a short circuit.

Among the guests from the plenary session were Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Vorkovici and many government officials and businessmen.

After they heard the screams, the guests and participants were evacuated from the building.

The Fire Department of Skolkovo has told RIA Novosti the fire spread in one of the towers of the building, added the source of the fire department Skolkovo.

Two days ago, the press service of the Russian Government said that the participants will discuss priority projects and other aspects of the financial support in strategic areas. Participants in the session will be Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, presidential adviser Andrei Belousov, and the ministers of education, industry and commerce, communications, finance, labor and economic development.

The Russian Presidential Council stated that the strategic development and the priority projects were created to ensure the cooperation between the federal, regional and public authority.
