The American actor is in trouble. Franco is facing a lawsuit against a photographer who claims that James attacked him.
According to the paparazzo, the ‘Spring Breakers’ star attacked him during a Lana Del Rey concert, held in October 2014.
Moreover, David Tonnessen stated in front of a judge that the Hollywood star aggressed him with no reason, while he was taking pictures at the concert.
The photographer affirmed that Franco yelled and hit him in the stomach. After the unexpected attack, the photographer fell on the ground while Franco disappeared in the crowd.
The incident took place at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
The most intriguing and disturbing part is that Franco allegedly smiled and seemed satisfied while he was hitting Tonnessen.
‘Following the assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, defendant Franco ran laughing into the crowd, leaving Plaintiff wounded and in pain on the ground,’ Tonnessen said.
According to the court documents, the paparazzo rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. A couple of days later, he initiated a lawsuit against the actor for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Also, David Tonnessen is seeking monetary and punitive damages.
The 38-year-old did not make any comments regarding the allegations.
This is not Franco’s first rodeo when it comes to legal problems. In 2011, A New York University professor was fired claiming he was dismissed for giving celebrity student James Franco a D grade for poor attendance. He sued the actor because he allegedly received a preferential treatment.
