The Democratic candidate in the race for the White House held her third televised debate in the most immaculate white suit.
However, Hillary Clinton’s fashion choice sparked some weird rumors, writes USA Today. During the first presidential debate, Hillary wore red, at the second one she chose a blue costume. At the last presidential debate held in Las Vegas with rival Donald Trump, she opted for a white outfit.
Also, in July, at the nomination ceremony during the Democratic National Convention, the former Secretary of State wore a white dress.
American publication New York Times wrote at that time that her choice to wear at the national convention was a way to show her support to female leaders worldwide.
According to New York Times, Democratic politician Geraldine A. Ferraro also wore all white when she accepted the nomination in the race for becoming a vice president during the 1984 Democratic Convention.
According to USA Today and New York Times, the three colors chosen by Hillary Clinton’s stylists for the presidential debates with Donald Trump are totally premeditated and they are supposed to invoke patriotism and the historical struggle for political equality of women in America.
Apparently, all three suits are by Ralph Lauren and it is understood that Hillary took some fashion advises from Vogue editor Anna Wintour when selecting her outfits.
Although color does not play a major part during a debate, in the election the looks are integral and every outfit counts.
