Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Grand Prix of USA

The British driver Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won Sunday’s Formula 1 Grand Prix of the United States, the circuit in Austin, Texas, and was approached by his teammate Nico Rosberg in the lead overall.

The race is the seventh victory for Hamilton this season. After 56 laps, Lewis was clocked in 1 hour, 38 minutes, 12 seconds and 618 thousandths, 4.52 seconds faster than German Nico Rosberg, who ranked second. The podium was completed by the Australian Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull).

Only German Sebastian Vettel brought points for Ferrari, ranking fourth, while Finn Kimi Raikkonen dropped out after 39 laps. McLaren came with both drivers in the points, on the 5th place (Fernando Alonso) and the 9th (Jenson Button).

Following these results, Nico Rosberg still leads the Manufacturer standings with 331 points, followed by Lewis Hamilton (305 points), Daniel Ricciardo (227 points), Sebastian Vettel (177 points), Kimi Raikkonen (170), Max Verstappen (165) etc.

The constructors’ championship is led by Mercedes with 636 points and the podium is completed by Red Bull (400) and Ferrari (347).
