Dutchman Martin Garrix, aged 20, took the first place among the Top 100 DJs in the world and surpassed the names of this musical style, as Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and David Guetta, according to a ranking compiled annually by DJ Mag magazine, reports Le Figaro.

Every year in October, DJ Mag magazine invites its readers to vote for their favorite DJs and forms a top of the hottest electronic music representatives, said the news agency.

In 2016, this top, who arrived at the 20th edition, was voted by more than 1 million readers online.

The ranking, published last week, reads that the Dutch musician Martin Garrix confirms that took the first place, ahead of renowned artists such as Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and David Guetta.

The 20 years old, Martin Garrix is the youngest artist who ranks first in the top of the best DJs in the world.

He became famous thanks to the song ‘Animals’ in 2014, the popular Dutch DJ mixes music from the age of eight years old and says she started to become interested in electronic music thanks to his countryman Tiesto, also present among the winners this year.

Singles launched by Martin Garrix have sold over 10 million copies worldwide and made him the Dutch artist DJ with the largest number of fans on Instagram, with a number of 8.3 million followers.

Top 10 best DJs in the world is complemented by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Oliver Heldens, Skrillex, and Afrojack.

In 2015, the first place in the ranking was owned by the Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like-Mike Greek.
