The First Lady stole the spotlight once again in a dress worthy of a red carpet at the last state dinner organized by the Obama’s at the White House.

The 52-year-old looked ravishing in a long couture gown created by Versace. Michelle was a vision of perfection when she appeared at Barack Obama’s arm and joined the Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini to the reception.

The second term of Barack Obama in the White House is coming to an end but Michelle never ceases to amaze us with her spotless appearances, impressing the guests with her fashion choices.

‘I feel honored that I had the opportunity to dress the first lady Michelle Obama. Thank you, Michelle, for all the things you did for America and for the world’, said designer Donatella Versace in a statement after the pictures with Michelle emerged on the Internet.

The guest list included Roberto Benigni, Jerry Seinfeld, Giorgio Armani, Naeem Khan, Savannah Guthrie, Gayle King and Gwen Stefani, who also performed.

Charming as always, the President told his wife: ‘No one cares about our attires. Everyone will look only at you’.

If Michelle opted for a Versace creation, Renzi’s wife Agnese wore a gown created by Ermanno Scervino.

According to the White House chef Cris Comerford, the preparations for the dinner began in August and included a food tasting attended by Michelle Obama.

‘Today is bittersweet for Michelle and I because this marks the final official visit and state dinner of my presidency,” President Barack Obama said earlier in the day. “But it’s OK. We saved the best for last’, stated the President.
