A man from California was sentenced to 1.503 years of prison

The 41-year-old Californian received the most unusual sentence from the magistrates after he transformed his own teenage daughter into a sex slave.

Rene Lopez was found guilty of conducting 186 sexual assaults on his daughter in September. The accusations also included rape committed on a minor.

According to the judges, since 2009 Rene Lopez committed used to rape his daughter three times per week. The first time she was abused by a family friend and her father, instead of protecting her, he transformed her into his sex slave.

California judge Edward Sarkisian Jr. labeled Rene Lopez a danger to society and since the rapist showed no signs of remorse, he sentenced him to 1.503 years in prison.

Rene Lopez received the heaviest prison sentenced ever given by a court in Fresno.

‘When my father abused me, I was little. I had no power, I had no voice or someone that could listen to my story. I was helpless’, stated the victim in front of the judges.

Besides the fact that he showed no signs of remorse, the rapist blamed the poor girl for becoming the object of his abuses.

In court, the man refused to plead as guilty. Moreover, he rejected the offers presented by prosecutors. They told him to plead guilty and to acknowledge his actions in order to receive a much shorter sentence.

As expected, the man rejected the agreement.

Before the final trial, he had another chance. The prosecutors offered him another deal. He would’ve been sentenced to 22 years in prison if he pleads guilty. He rejected this offer as well, saying that he would be released from prison earlier than that.
