Police detained more than 300 suspects and seized tons of cocaine during an operation that lasted the whole week that targeted the trafficking of drugs and people and networks of Europe crime cyber and beyond, announced on Wednesday the EU agency police, Reuters reported.

Following the investigations uncovered a fake travel agency in Greece that helps trafficking and brothel in Austria where cannabis is grown, mentions Europol.

The Agency stated that coordinated investigations in the EU and 24 countries outside the bloc during Operation Ciconia Alba, contributing to the discovery of criminal networks originating from Nigeria, Asia, Eastern Europe and elsewhere.

Police have raided red neighborhoods, brothels, massage parlors, private apartments, airports and reception centers for migrants, announced the Europol.

Countries and organizations around the globe are working together as one entity is the answer to a modern organized crime and without borders said in a statement the Europol Director Rob Wainwright.

Police have identified during the operation more than 500 victims of human trafficking, the release reads.

Ciconia Alba operation was designed to target international organized crime, after similar operations and Archimedes Blue Amber from previous years.

Ciconia Alba Operation is the third in a series of joint days of action, subject to European Union policy for the period 2013-2017.

Europol supports national law enforcement authorities in combating serious forms of international crime and terrorism.

The mission of the European Police Office (Europol) is the EU agency responsible for law enforcement, which is meant to increase the level of safety in Europe, providing assistance to the competent authorities of the Member States.
