UK’s decision to leave the EU made more than three-quarters of Britain’s most valuable CEO’s to take into consideration operating outside the UK.

According to a study conducted by KPMG, more than 72% in 100 business leaders said they voted against the Brexit during the June referendum, while 69% of them are quite optimistic hoping that the British economy will grow over the next years. 73% expressed their confidence regarding UK’s political strategy believing the important companies will increase.

76% said they are considering to relocate their business in another country.

‘The heads of the companies are uncertain regarding the contingency plans’, said the British Chairman of KPMG Simon Collins.

‘Over more than a half of them believe the ability to open a new business in the UK will be affected after you leave the UK, so many CEO’s believe it’s important to come up with different scenarios to cope with the impact’, added Collins.

The study suggested that Prime Minister Theresa May is struggling to keep the business in the kingdom, while she must negotiate with EU in order to stop immigrants and keep the trading relations with EU’s 27 members intact.

Before the referendum from June 23, the British Minister of Finance from that time, George Osborne, stated that leaving the European organization would jeopardize 820,000 jobs in the UK.

Both George Osborne and David Cameron warned Britain that the life outside the EU, will not be as ‘cosy’ and most likely, a wave of eye-popping taxes and spending cuts will destabilize the economy.
