In the last seven years Kareem Khan struggled to press criminal charges on the US officials from CIA employees who commanded the drone attack, which killed his brother and his son, reports The Independent.

A missile, which hit Kareem’s house during the New Year’s Eve in 2009, was labeled as a ‘mistake’ made by the US military forces, which targeted the hideout of a Taliban commander.

“They (Americans) tell the world they are killing terrorists, but they kill innocent people,” said Kareem Khan.

Since 2004, more than 400 civilians were killed during the U.S. drone attacks, conducted in Pakistan, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.

Early in 2016, the family of an Italian humanitarian worker was killed by a U.S. drone and received a $1 million dollars paycheck from the U.S. government.

The amount was considered a “donation” and not an indemnification. The American authorities refused to assume the blame for the drone attack.

The 37-year-old died when a US drone targeted an al-Qaeda base at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border where he was being held captive, also killing American aid worker Warren Weinstein.

In the past, President Barack Obama said that ‘in the fight against terrorists, fatal errors might occur.’

‘My brother and my son were completely innocent. For as long as I can go on, I won’t let this go’, revealed the Pakistani journalist.

In 20101, when Kareem Khan initiated the investigation, he sought $500 million in compensation but all damage claims have since been dropped.
