Seoul has elite troops awaiting orders to assassinate the leader of the Stalinist regime in Pyongyang, Kim Jong-un, if he decides to use nuclear weapons, admitted the South Korean Minister of Defense after the emergence of information in this regard. On the other hand, Pyongyang threatened to turn Seoul into ‘ashes’ and ‘shave off the map’ the American base in Guam.

Parliament asked on Wednesday if there is any special unit to eliminate Kim Jong-un, Han Min-koo Minister answered “yes, we have such a plan,” reports CNN TV channel.

‘South Korea has a general idea and intends to use high-precision missiles to target enemy installations in key regions and to eliminate the enemy leadership,’ he said.

Despite some old suspicions of the existence of such a plan, the direct response of the minister caused some surprise.

‘A president would like to have this option,’ comments Daniel Pinkston from Troy University. ‘Not to present (this option) to the president, not to develop training in this regard or that not to be such a capacity would be a mistake,” he said.

South Korea has stepped up its rhetoric against the government of North Korea after Pyongyang announced on September 9 that it has successfully completed its fifth nuclear test.

North Korea has tested this week a new powerful rocket that could be installed on an intercontinental ballistic missile.

South Korean Ministry of Defense announced that it is preparing for the worst possible scenario and warned that Pyongyang is already prepared to undertake the sixth nuclear test.
