Ahmad Rahami’s journal outlined plans for the New Jersey attack

The suspect, who is the alleged author of the bomb attack from New Jersey was charged for the illegal use of weapons, according to an official report published by the New York attorney Preet Bharara.
The 28-year-old was also charged with installing a bomb in a public space, damaging private properties and using a device to commit violent crimes, according to Le Figaro and Reuters.
Following the shootout with the authorities from Monday, he was also charged with the murder attempt.
According to the document, the investigation revealed the suspect bought in June, July and August, items which seemed as compounds to create an explosive device. Ahmad Rahami bought citric acid, printed circuit boards, and other pyrotechnical devices.
Also, the report suggested that two mobile phones were used as triggers bombs and they were purchased from a store based near Ahmad’s apartment. The suspect had a subscription to one of the phones.
Ahmad Khan Rahami made a video while testing the DIY explosive devices and kept a journal, in which he expressed his outrage regarding the ‘deaths’ caused by the United States in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Palestine.
‘InshAllah (With the will of God) the sound of the bombs will be heard on the streets, shots will target the police officers, and our oppression will encounter death’, wrote Rahami wrote in his journal.
The first blast took place in Seaside Park, New Jersey on Saturday morning, while the second one, which severely injured in New York, in the Chelsea suburb, occurred on Saturday evening.
