The British Secretary is a literal hero for the locals of Kalfat.

The Turkish hometown is the ancestral homeland of Boris Johnson’s great-grandfather on his father’s side, Ali Kemal.

The locals from Kalfat claim that they will ‘sacrifice many sheep’ in his honor’ because Boris made them proud.

It doesn’t matter that Boris is one of the biggest supporters of Brexit, which means a limited number of Turkish immigrants and tourists will be able to cross the UK border in the next few years, the villagers are still happy to call him one of their own.

‘We will sacrifice many sheep in Boris’ honor. We will repave our roads, repaint our buildings. We will give him the complete red carpet treatment if he visits his ancestral village’, stated Adem Karaagac, the village headman for Middle East Eye.

The headman also revealed that the locals were extremely disappointed that Boris was not named a prime minister and they suffered deeply when Theresa May obtained the position.

‘Our Boris was ready to be prime minister. But now he can gain more experience as foreign minister before becoming prime minister. That will be better for him as well’,  added Karaagac said.

Another fascinating aspect of the people from Kalfat is that everybody is related to one another. According to the Turkish headman, even his wife is somehow related to Boris Johnson.

Earlier this week, the British politician infuriated the Turkish community after the posted the most disturbing limerick on social media, suggesting that the Turkish president had sex with a goat.
