A young boy living in central China had a normal day in school and played just like he used to after he is said to have strangled a young girl with which he had a fight with at the beginning of this month, reports the Beijing Times.

The girl, known under the nickname of Beibei, had been missing since September 15 from Changde, the province of Hunan after she left her home with a young boy aged 11, called Xiong, who lived in the same community as she did.

The girl’s family began to search for her and told the police that she went missing. The police used drones and dogs in the search for the young lady.

After a week, the police from Changde posted a message on their official account from Weibo in which they were saying that they found the body of the girl close to the community of Sangchang and that they identified a suspect.

The police had told to the mother of the girl that she punched Xiong following an argument, the boy strangling her on a sofa back at his home, dragging her body afterwards to the third floor and pushing it onto the first floor of a neighboring balcony.

The family of the girl had doubts over the conclusions of the police investigation in the case.

The mother of the girl questioned if an 11-year-old child is able to do that and appear unperturbed while going to school as usual when the search for the girl’s body was still taking place.

The police account stated that the investigation concluded that the girl was choked until she died by Xiong, shortly after the two had a shuffle.

A local police officer also confirmed that the main suspect is a boy and declared that there was no grownup involved, the report says.
