The Syrian Minister of Tourism launched another promo clip and this time is even more awkward than the first one.
According to CNN, Bashar al-Assad’s political entourage initiated a very elaborate campaign of attracting tourists in the city of Aleppo, which currently, represents one of the most damaged areas in the Muslim republic.
The Bashar al-Assad regime released the fascinating clip on social media.
The footage shows a series of panoramic views from Aleppo, accompanied by a soundtrack from the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
The choice regarding the soundtrack seems very inspired since the series is known for its extremely violent scenes.
The images show the boulevards and the residential areas, untouched by bomb attacks, air raids or sick terrorist groups destroying everything in their way.
Instead of focusing on commercials and touristic campaigns, the officials should direct their attention on the two million residents from Aleppo, without any access to drinking water.
The worst part is that this is not the diplomat’s first attempt to encourage the tourism in Syria.
Earlier this summer, the minister posted another promo clip, in which Tartus appeared as the ultimate oasis of relaxation.
Last week, a press agency from Syria talked about the ‘nightlife’ in Aleppo, after the city was labeled as one of the most dangerous regions in the world.
This is certainly the most outrageous and useless advertisement ever made.
Despite the bloody battles and the extreme violence, the tourists are recommended to visit Aleppo and Tartus under the slogan: ‘Syria always beautiful’.
