U.S. native Ahmad Khan Raham is the main suspect in the bomb attack, which occurred in New York on Saturday night, stated Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The American authorities shared his picture all over social media, requiring citizens to report every single detail linked to the 28-year-old Afghan, with the specification that he should not be approached because he is ‘armed and dangerous’.

More than 29 civilians were injured, when a DIY bomb exploded on Saturday night in Manhattan. According to the authorities, after the investigation was initiated they also discovered another exploding device nearby.

The impact occurred in the Chelsea neighborhood and the device had been left in a backpack placed in a trash can near a train station and a bar, Bollwage told reporters earlier.

Police officers believe that the blast is connected to the explosion that took place on Saturday morning in New Jersey.

Mayor Bill de Blasio posted Raham’s picture on his Twitter page. According to the FBI, Raham is a U.S. citizen of Afghanistan decent who lives in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Authorities said he could be armed and dangerous, warning residents to be vigilant and report sightings to authorities.

Although he is considered the main suspect of the terrorist act, Raham does not appear to be linked to international terrorism.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said the investigation was focusing on a person of interest in the case.

‘The evidence might suggest a foreign connection’ Cuomo said during a television interview on Monday morning.
